Instructions to Use

Bajra Roti ( Flat Bread)

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Bajra Flour (Pearl Millet Flour)
  • Water, as needed
  • Salt, to taste
  • Ghee or oil, for cooking

Instructions:

  • In a mixing bowl, combine Bajra flour and salt. Gradually add water while kneading to form a smooth and pliable dough. The dough should be soft but not sticky.
  • Divide the dough into small lemon-sized balls. Dust each ball with Bajra flour and flatten it slightly.
  • Place a dough ball on a clean, flat surface and roll it out into a thin circle using a rolling pin. Dust with more flour as needed to prevent sticking.
  • Heat a tawa or skillet over medium heat. Once hot, carefully place the rolled-out roti onto the tawa.
  • Cook for about 1-2 minutes on one side until small bubbles start to form.
  • Flip the roti and cook for another 1-2 minutes until both sides are cooked through and lightly browned.
  • Remove the cooked roti from the tawa and brush with ghee or oil if desired. Serve hot with your favorite curry, dal, or yogurt.
