Instructions to Use

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Multi-Grain Atta (from The Millet Store)
  • Water (approximately ½ to ¾ cup, adjust as needed)
  • A pinch of salt (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Kneading the Dough: In a large bowl, take 1 cup of Multi-Grain Atta. Gradually add water little by little while mixing with your hands or a spoon to form a soft, smooth dough. If desired, add a pinch of salt for taste.
  2. Resting the Dough: Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 15-20 minutes. This will help the dough become more pliable.
  3. Making the Roti/Chapati: Divide the dough into small balls (about the size of a golf ball). Roll each ball into a flat, round shape using a rolling pin. If needed, dust with a little flour to prevent sticking.
  4. Cooking the Roti/Chapati: Heat a tava or griddle over medium heat. Once hot, place the rolled-out dough onto the griddle. Cook until bubbles start to form, then flip it over. Cook the other side for about 30 seconds, then press gently with a clean cloth or spatula to ensure it puffs up. Flip again and cook for another 20-30 seconds.
  5. Serve & Enjoy: Remove the roti/chapati from the griddle and place it in a container lined with a clean cloth to keep warm. Serve with your favorite curry, sabzi, or chutney.
