Barley Flour Roti (Barley Flatbread) recipe:


Ingredients:

  • 1 cup barley flour
  • ¼ cup wheat flour (optional, for better binding)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup warm water (adjust as needed)
  • 1 teaspoon ghee or oil (optional)

Steps:

  1. Mix dry ingredients – In a bowl, combine barley flour, wheat flour, and salt.
  2. Add water gradually – Knead into a soft, smooth dough. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
  3. Divide into small balls – Roll each into a thin circle using a rolling pin.
  4. Cook on a hot tawa (griddle) – Flip when bubbles appear, cook on both sides until golden brown.
  5. Apply ghee (optional) and serve hot with curry, chutney, or yogurt.
