Instructions to Use

a simple and delicious recipe for Urad Dal Flour Ladoo, a sweet treat that's popular in Indian cuisine. These ladoos are made using urad dal flour, ghee, and sugar, and they are often prepared during festivals and special occasions.

Urad Dal Flour Ladoo Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup urad dal flour
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup ghee (clarified butter)
  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • Chopped nuts (almonds, cashews) for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Roast Urad Dal Flour:
  2. In a dry pan, roast urad dal flour over medium heat until it becomes aromatic and changes color slightly. Make sure not to burn it. This step helps remove any raw taste from the flour.
  3. Prepare Sugar Syrup:
  4. In a separate pan, heat the ghee. Add powdered sugar and mix well. Cook this mixture over low heat until it forms a smooth syrup. The sugar should dissolve completely.
  5. Combine Urad Dal Flour and Sugar Syrup:
  6. Add the roasted urad dal flour to the sugar syrup. Mix well to combine and ensure there are no lumps. Cook this mixture on low heat for a few minutes until it thickens slightly.
  7. Add Cardamom Powder:
  8. Add cardamom powder to the mixture for flavor. Continue to stir and cook until the mixture reaches a dough-like consistency.
  9. Let it Cool:
  10. Allow the mixture to cool to a temperature where you can comfortably handle it with your hands.
  11. Shape into Ladoos:
  12. Take small portions of the mixture and shape them into round ladoos (balls) using your hands. If the mixture is too hot to handle, you can grease your hands with a little ghee.
  13. Garnish (Optional):
  14. Garnish the ladoos with chopped nuts like almonds or cashews. Press the nuts gently onto the surface of the ladoos.
  15. Let Them Set:
  16. Allow the ladoos to cool completely and set for a few hours.

These Urad Dal Flour Ladoos are not only delicious but also melt-in-your-mouth. They make for a delightful treat during festivals and celebrations. Adjust the quantity of sugar according to your taste preferences. Enjoy!
